Less than a ten minute walk to the historic downtown area! Bay Street features a beautiful view of majestic oaks, low country mansions, and boats docked in the sparkling waters of the river just beyond the marshes. All sorts of eclectic shops, art galleries, and great restaurants offering low country faire and often entertainment while you dine or enjoy a drink. You may decide to take a tour on a horse drawn carriage where you will get a first hand look and learn about the rich history of Beaufort. The Sea Islands are a short drive away, along with historic Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. You can enjoy pristine beaches in a natural setting on Hunting Island, explore the lighthouse as you climb up the winding stairwell. You might enjoy kayaking in the inlets and coves surrounding the islands ... and you never know when a dolphin may come alongside you for the ride! We had a family of 5 staying there and quite honestly, it would have been comfortable if our other 2 kids were with us. The house was very organized and very clean. Instructions on checking in and checking out were organized and easy to understand. I would highly recommend this house! Brooke Mirenda
